ERP Setup
The first system a small business should actually run
The best platform is the one your team will post documents into on a busy Thursday. Fit and training beat a feature matrix.

Ignore the feature matrix at first
Zoho, Tally, QuickBooks, Odoo and others can all be right — and all can be wrong — depending on document volume and who will live in the system. For a small business, a shortlist should start from processes and skills, not from a logo wall.
One system of record per object
Customers, SKUs, invoices and stock each need a home. Duplication is how CRM and the books diverge. Decide the master, then — only if needed — integrate. Custom software is for the gaps, not for reinventing a ledger.
Buy implementation, not just licences
Licences are the easy line item. Masters, opening balances, awkward UAT scenarios and role-based training are the work. If a proposal has no room for those, you are buying software that will be blamed for a process nobody designed.
